Let's Get Some Culture!

I have decided that we need to do one cultural thing a day, at least!  I dragged the boys out of bed (because I think they would have slept until 2:00 in the afternoon ) and we planned our day.  First stop, La Giralda, which is the tower of the cathedral.  The boys love climbing everything and had a great time.  I made it to the top and realized that the battery for my camera was in the apartment.  No worries, we will climb up another day  There are great views of the city and we quickly found Drew's hotel.  The boys were dying to go for a swim!  It is really hot here! After a quick lunch, we headed back out to El Metropol Parasol, which is a plaza with huge wooden structure that looks like a mushroom.  We checked out the museum underneath, which contains ancient Roman ruins.   We met up with Andrew late in the afternoon and headed to the Parque de Maria Luisa and the Plaza de Espana.  It was a lovely evening and the boys had fun playing soccer in the park.  We also enjoyed watching Spain beat Ireland, while eating tapas at the well-known Ceverceria Giralda.  Okay, so it was more than one cultural outing, but don't tell the boys!
