Sevilla-June 18, 2012
When Andrew finished up classes, we headed to La Macarena in search of the best fried fish place in Sevilla-La Freiduria La Pastora. Because it is in a different area, we decided to take a longer route through the city. We had a plan, although it ended up being tough on the boys because it was over 100 degrees! We made to the restaurant, which is located just outside of the city walls. It was closed!!!!! We ended up at the only place nearby-sushi. Perfect choice for our guys after a week of tapas 24/7. After a nice lunch we headed up by way of La Alameda Hercules. I had read that they had fixed up the plaza and installed fountains that you can walk through. There were even "misters" for those who just wanted to cool off. The boys had a blast. What a perfect outing for a hot day. In the evening we hooked up wit our friends and walked over to the Parque Maria Luisa and even rode one the horse carriages. It was a nice way to see the park in the evening. We rushed to find a place for dinner that was also showing the Spain vs. Croatia soccer game. A TV was the most important factor and we found the right spot. They placed our whole group in front of a large TV in their outdoor dining area. It was a perfect setting-full of locals who were also enjoying the game. Spain won!!!! The boys were thrilled. Andrew and I headed out to meet up with some friends for dinner.
